Garbage Disposal

How to clean your drain

Garbage Disposal

If your unit is equipped with a garbage disposal, we ask that you do not put oils, fats, and fibrous foods (celery, asparagus, artichokes, chard, kale, lettuce, potato peelings, onion skins) into the garbage disposal. These items can easily entangle the blades causing it to jam. To clean your garbage disposal sprinkle half a cup of baking soda into the disposal and add some vinegar. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with hot water..

How to clean your drain

When taking a shower always have the shower fan on. This will reduce the humidity in the bathroom and stop a lot of problems. To clean the showerhead for better water flow, fill the showerhead with vinegar and then put in a Ziploc bag overnight.

The ceiling fan direction in summer should be counterclockwise to help create a downdraft, which creates that direct, cooling breeze. Your fan direction in winter needs to be clockwise to create an updraft and circulate warm air around the room.

Please rinse your dishes before adding them to the dishwasher. Every once in a while consider running the dishwasher with nothing. Watch the video below to see a helpful video on the cleaning process.
